Well it is that time of year when old man winter is breathing down or backs… yes that’s right it is fall. My favorite time of the year in general and to ride my bicycle specifically. However, it is important to be aware of certain dangers that more readily present themselves this time of year. So this post will focus on bicycle safety tips for the fall!

First, let me simply say this bluntly…. leaves are slippery! (especially when wet). So please be very careful when riding over leaves, which is almost all the time in most parts of the country. Secondly, It tends to be more windy this time of year so stay alert for big gusts of wind. Lastly, be aware that the days are increasingly growing shorter, which means you must make sure you have fully charged lights for the front and back of your bike. Enjoy the crisp fall bike rides, but please stay safe as always!
If you would like to contribute safety tips in addition to these, please feel free to leave a comment or send them to andrew@kassandmoses.com. I would be happy to share any safety tips in a future post
