What happens if you’ve been in a serious crash, but you have no health insurance? It’s really important that you get medical care anyway. Because without medical care you won’t get better, most importantly. And two, you’ll have a very difficult time to get the full value for your injuries.
There’s three different ways to take care of that. One is med pay. This is something you could use. It’s a part of an insurance policy that will maybe the other vehicle, maybe other vehicle that you’re on that allows some money, usually $1,000 to about $15,000 for medical bills. The second way you could try to get medical care is through medical providers that work on a lien. In other words there are medical providers that will actually wait until your case is complete and then get paid for all the work that they did. We are always looking and help and can help anybody find these medical providers, and that’s an option. The third option I consider my least favorite option is case loans. You could actually take a loan on your case and use that money for medical. Really, really discourage that. We prefer you to either use your med pay or let us help you find a medical provider on a lien, which is one that you know will wait to be paid.
