Am I the only one who loves riding outside but just can’t seem to use an indoor trainer? I know all the benefits of training inside; keep in shape, not gain too much winter weight, sleep better, feel better… and so on and so on… It seems the benefits would far outweigh my one and only objection… I truly do not enjoy it.

I know what you may be thinking; the benefits far exceed my simple dislike for indoors. To be honest, there have been times when I was on a trainer while listening to music and it was bearable. However, to me riding a bike should be pure joy and nothing else. When I ride outside, even if I am suffering to keep up with my group, I am fully enjoying the experience. It seems to me that if I ride indoors it somehow tarnishes bike riding all together and therefore tarnishes my enjoyment of riding outside. This may just be a very convoluted way of thinking to avoid exercising… but it is my story and I am sticking to it.
