If you are in a bicycle accident Facebook is not your friend!
The first thing many people do as things happens is to share it on Facebook. How many times have you been at dinner with friends when literally during dinner pictures of yourself are being uploaded to Facebook. If you are involved in a bicycle accident, do not share it on Facebook! I understand social network sites such as Facebook provide an amazing community for people to share their day to day experiences. However, insurance companies use social networking sites such as Facebook as part of their regular investigation. The insurance company of the at fault vehicle is not your friend.
For a free legal consultation,
Anything you say that is helpful for your case we’ll not be permitted into evidence. However, if you say something that is against your interest that may come into evidence as an admission. In other words, there’s nothing you can say that will help your case. Accordingly, lawyers always advise clients not to speak. This is a another reason why we rarely allow our clients to give statements to an insurance company. If you are in an accident, the only people you should be discussing with is your doctors, family and a trusted lawyer. A biased opinion for sure, but after representing bikers for over 20 years, a very valid one as well.
