My brother-in-law, Fred Mullins in full kit

Biking to a eating destination. My favorite type of ride!

Last week  I took a 30 mile (each way) ride to the best little hole in the wall breakfast place in America.  I know that is a bold statement.  But when you eat (after a very long wait) at franks diner in Kenosha wi. I am sure you will agree.   First of all the play is tiny and has been around since 1926.

When you ride to eat having enough nutrition is easy since your mid ride meal will give you everything you need to get home.  One great benefit of taking a long ride to eat is the lack of guilt of really indulging! Be careful not to get too full or it will be a long way back. Also make sure you allow enough time for the food to digest before getting back on the bike. It is also a good idea to start slow and get warmed up on the way back. When we take these rides they are more tour than race.

Always keep safety in mind.

As always,

Ride. Be Safe. Have Fun.
