Well winter is now truly here.. Terms like Artic Vortex is what finally pushed me to buy an indoor trainer. Last year after getting into great shape I didn’t ride indoors and paid the price in spring. As much as I detest indoor riding, I vowed to ride indoors this winter. So after much research, I bought a CycleOps Fluid 2 trainer. I then joined trainerroad.com. If you are not aware of this online training software, you should check it out, it really is amazing.
It actually makes indoor training bearable for me and only costs $10/month. It communicates with your heart rate monitor,
and speed/cadence sensor. It is then able to magically figure out your virtual power and “coaches” you through a workout.
There are many workouts available and many workout plans, ie, century, cross, race, builing your base,… got it.
For a free legal consultation,
If you google, Trainer Road, you will find many glowing reviews and much more detailed than mine. One big advantage of a trianer
is there are no cars/trucks that will cause you to crash. As you probably know, I am not only cycling enthusiast but also
a bicycle accident lawyer. I have been representing injured cyclists for over 20 years. If you live and ride in a part of the country
that experiences a “real” winter, make sure your bike is well lighted and you are wearing flourescent clothing… unless you are
on your trainer. lol. Anyway,
Ride. Be Safe. Have Fun.
