Just to remind my readers (and myself) how careful you must be when you ride, I googled “bicyclist killed” and came back with 13,300,00 results!! Now of course each result does not represent a fatality, but after hitting next for more than 100 pages, the stories of biker being killed continued… A very informal review of the stories makes it clear that most involved a truck/automobile and too large percentage were hit and runs. If you simply take the time to read these stories for 10 minutes, there is no question in my mind it will make you just a little more aware when you ride. Please be careful of vehicles and never assume that they see you OR will stop when they are supposed to. Safe travels!!
