Chefs Cycle for No Kid Hungry
At Kass & Moses, we choose to highlight bicycle events that raise money for worthy causes. Our team of bicycle injury attorneys believes that no child should go hungry. 16 million children in the United States face hunger, and approximately 75 percent of teachers report that their students regularly attend school hungry. Studies have shown that children who do not eat a sufficient breakfast or who regularly miss meals do not perform as well at school as their well-fed peers. This situation becomes even more serious at this time of the year, when children do not attend school and therefore are not able to eat free or reduced charge breakfasts and lunches.
No Kid Hungry works to provide support and meals for these children and families. Their Cooking Matters program teaches families about healthy eating and provides them access to healthy foods. In addition, during the summer, No Kid Hungry makes strides to provide healthy, appetizing meals for children who may otherwise go hungry.
