As I mentioned earlier, a rental car is something you’re also entitled to, potentially, as part of your compensation if your car was damaged. This can come in two ways. One: it could come from your own vehicle, may have rental car coverage, or if you do not have that coverage, and even if you do, the at-fault insurance company could be required to cover your rental car bill while your car is being repaired. This normally doesn’t apply though, unfortunately, if your car is totaled, but if your car is being fixed, you should be entitled to rental car coverage. One of the things to keep in mind is if your own insurance company is using that policy, then there should be, there could be limits on the daily amount and the maximum amount.
