The first step in taking care of your property damage is to assess actually what damage was there. Normally, of course, your car or your vehicle would be the main thing that got damaged, but there also could be a cell phone that might have got damaged, even clothes that could have been damaged, any contents within the car. So what you want to do right away is take pictures of everything: take pictures of the car from all the angles, take pictures of the road, see around the car, take pictures of any kind of skid marks, et cetera. Also, try to gather any receipts that you have. It’s not critical that you get all the receipts because you can still recover property even if you don’t have receipts, but receipts will help if you have receipts. So you want to just document everything you can, the best that you can. That’s the first step in recovering your property damage.
