As originally reported by CBS News, a tragic incident unfolded in the evening hours of Saturday as a collision occurred in western Wisconsin, resulting in the unfortunate demise of a motorcyclist. Additionally, the passenger who accompanied the deceased rider has been taken to the hospital for necessary medical care and evaluation. It is indeed a sorrowful event that has gripped Trenton Township, Wisconsin.
Around 5:15 p.m., a collision took place on Highway 63 close to 830th Street in Trenton Township, as reported by the authorities from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office reported that an unfortunate incident occurred on Highway 63 involving Michael Cardell of Red Wing, Minnesota. As the 58-year-old was riding his motorcycle northbound, the flow of traffic began to decelerate. Seeking an alternative route, Cardell proceeded to switch lanes and, unfortunately, collided with an SUV traveling southbound.

Cardell met his unfortunate demise in a fatal accident as he was forcibly ejected from his motorcycle, succumbing to his injuries on the spot. Meanwhile, a woman aged 34 who was accompanying him as a passenger suffered injuries of unknown severity and was swiftly transported to the Red Wing hospital, as stated by the sheriff’s office. Miraculously, the driver of the SUV emerged from the incident unharmed.
The crash led to a closure of the highway for approximately three hours, as stated by the sheriff’s office.
