As first reported in the Commonwealth Journal, a tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving another individual severely wounded in a motorcycle collision.
The identities of the victims remain undisclosed by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, awaiting communication to their immediate family members.
At the crossing of East Ky. 80 and Squib-Ano Road, an unexpected incident occurred. According to the preliminary investigation by PCSO, an eastbound Mazda passenger car and a motorcycle were bound towards the intersection of Old London Road (Ky. 1956) and Squib-Ano Road on Ky. 80.
The Mazda collided with the motorcycle mid-maneuver when the latter tried executing a left turn.
The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office confirmed the unfortunate demise of the motorcycle’s passenger. Meanwhile, the male motorcyclist, who suffered severe injuries, was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The current state of the man’s condition is unknown as per PCSO’s statement.
